Who said that you cannot visit Romania in winter? Actually, winter on our tour was very different than what we had expected.
It was quite warm…really warm in some days. One day, on the rolling hills in Cund village, it was so hot, that I personally hiked in my T- shirt!
Hulya from Antalya Olgunlasma Institute booked a tour with us in late December. After exchanging many e-mails about what she wanted to experience on the trip, we made it happen.
And we had a great time! It was a 6 day tour, customized for her. We visited Brasov, the stunning mountain villages, hiked on the hills in Cund village, went underground in Turda salt mine, enjoyed the good food at Viscri 38, climbed the stairs in the Clock Tower in Sighisoara, sang turkish songs in the car (actually, she did and I listened), visited Piatra Craiului National Park, went to see the amazing Alba Iulia fortress…and much more.
Needless to say that I realized one more, and Hulya as well, that Romania is the country of beautiful contrasts and it has a lot to offer to those who want to discover it!0
