Day 1: From Bucharest we drive to Horezu, near Ramnicu Valcea. The small town of Horezu is famous for its tradition in ceramics. Now is your chance to observe the most famous artists doing their thing. But first, we’ll visit Horezu Monastery, a masterpiece of Brancovenesc style, built in the XVII th century by Constantin Brancoveanu. Located in a very picturesque landscape and with an impressive architecture, the monastery is a very important piece of UNESCO heritage..
After the visit at the monastery it is time to discover the fantastic world of ceramics. We have prepared a visit at the most famous workshop in Horezu, and a live performance from the artists themselves. Their work has been displayed in many exhibitions in Bucharest, at the Village Museum, but not only there.
The day will continue with a visit to a place that few people know about.. We will drive from Horezu to Maldaresti, a very picturesque place that seems hidden from the eyes of the curious…
Here we will see two famous manors (http://www.conaculmaldar.ro/despre-noi.php) that still preserve the charm of old – fashioned Oltenia. The two authentic kulas still have interesting and mysterious tales to tale…

Day 2: The second day is will take us to Buila Vanturarita, the smallest national park in Romania.
Considered a hidden treasure of Oltenia, also known as Oltenia from under the mountain, the park is famous for its fauna, rich flora, hidden and unexplored caves, the spectacular Cheii Gorge, to name just a few attractions.
In the morning we will drive from Horezu to Barbatesti, a nice mountain village from where we will start the tour. The trail goes through the forest and through beautiful meadows, and will reveal the beauty of this national park.
Soon, we will reach Patrunsa Monastery, mysteriously hidden in the forest, in a fairy – like landscape. It is not unusual for the monks there to invite people over for lunch. What a treat, right?
The next monastery we will visit, after a one hour hike, is Pahomie. Located at the base…well, actually…CARVED inside a big rock, the monastery is a place of pilgrimage for many people. We will stop at Pahomie for a short break and then we will go to Cheia Gorge. The gorge is one of Buila’s top selling points, no doubt!
First, we will hike through the forest and then…we will get to the suspended trail that goes ABOVE the gorge! That’s right, get ready for some MIND BLOWING views!
In the evening we will get to Cheia hut, a nice mountain lodge, where we will spend the night.

Day 3: Today, after a nice breakfast, we will explore the underground world. We have prepared for you a trip to two of the most famous caves in Cheia gorge area. Later in the afternoon we will leave Buila Vanturarita and drive back to Bucharest.
