Have you ever dreamt of climbing the famous Transylvanian Alps? For every hiking enthusiast, this must be on the list!

We have prepared an amazing tour for you, in the kingdom of very high peaks and splendid glacial lakes. And…what could be more beautiful than sharing this with a group of jolly… good…hikers, such as yourself?

Group size: minimum 4 people – maximum 6 people

Price for a group of 6 people: 450 eur/pp. The price includes transportation to Balea and back, accommodation as presented in the program (dbl. rooms at Balea and bunk beds at Podragu – breakfast included), guide services. The price does not include other meals and personal expenses.
For a smaller group the price will be recalculated.
The deadline for booking for any of the dates is June 15 th!

Day 1: Pick up from the hotel in Bucharest. Drive to Balea Lake.

Day 2: This day is dedicated to a moderate hike, meant to prepare us for the next day’s challenges. We will hike to Saua Doamnei (2198 m alt.) and then descend in the valley that has the same name. Along the way we will be rewarded with great views of Balea Lake and the high peaks that surround us: Paltinu (2401 m alt.), Capra (2417 m alt.) and more.

The night ends with stories and good fun beside a cup of warm tea.

Day 3: It’s time to feel the real taste of Fagaras! For today we’ve planned a route that will show us beautiful lakes, high altitude trails and mountains…mountains..as far as the eye can see. They don’t call Fagaras the Alps of Transylvania for nothing!
At the end of the day, tired but happy, we’ll descend at Podragu hut (2136 m alt.).

Day 4: Yes, the big day has come! Today we will step on Moldoveanu Peak, the highest in Romania (2544 m alt.). If we’re lucky enough we should see the famous blanket of clouds, characteristic to high mountains.
From Moldoveanu Peak we’ll get back to Podragu hut.

Day 5: This is the day when we say goodbye to our beautiful mountains. Depending on the weather conditions we’ll discuss the route back to Balea Lake.

Day 6: Return to Bucharest in the late afternoon/evening. End of program.
