,,How can I possibly tell you everything that happened. It’s packed with amazing sights and experiences, but the wonderful memories we’re left with boil down to our guide, Chip. What a kind, friendly and knowledgeable human being, brimming with endless enthusiasm and generosity. An absolute saint for taking two bleary-eyed, self-conscious Londoners into his care for the day, and making sure the journey was unforgettable. This is so much more than a job for him, and we’re still endlessly grateful for everything he showed, told and did for us. Expect to have your breath taken away at every turn. The countryside is simply stunning. This is a trip for the active, outdoorsy type (some fairly serious hiking involved), but I get the impression it can be customized according to your needs/wants.
We totally fell in love with Romania, and this is very much in part because of this day trip. If (when!) we go back, we’ll be sure to contact Chip and Dan for a similar experience.‘’ Hannah, from the UK, about this tour

DETAILED PROGRAM:

We start early in the morning from Bucharest. We drive on the beautiful Prahova Valley, and pass through the well known ski resorts: Sinaia, Busteni, Azuga, Predeal. Our first stop for today is the famous Bran Castle, that needs no introduction.

The castle was an important point of defence against the ottomans for centuries but it also had a more romantic side: it was Queen Mary’s favourite. The castle is also connected to Vlad the Impaler, also known as Dracula.

After the visit at Bran we change the view and we immerse ourselves in the beautiful countryside, passing through two beautiful mountain villages: Pestera and Magura. With photography options every step of the way, the countryside is simply amazing. And because we are in Piatra Craiului National Park, we will take you for a hike.

Yes, it is time to go through the forest, listen to the birds, admire beautiful mountain ridges, and relax. By the end of the tour you will feel the strong connection with nature.

In the late afternoon we will say Goodbye to Piatra Craiului National Park and head back to Bucharest.
