Bran Castle, also known as Dracula’s Castle is maybe the most famous tourist attraction and a tour in Romania is not complete without a visit there. The castle is set in Bran town, between Bucegi Mountains and Piatra Craiului Mountains.

Hiking on the eco trails
In Bran and Moeciu area there are some lovely family hiking trails that were designed for eco tourism. They are very accesible and they take you through some scenic places with great views. You will see shepherd houses and animals, hay stacks, remote mountain huts, you will meet local people working their lands and at every step you will have some amazing views. These eco trails are relative new so still not very famous, therefore they are not crowded.

Visit a shepherd house
During the hiking tour, we will stop at a shepherd house and taste the cheese and maybe attend to their daily chores. It’s a nice experience to see how the shepherd life looks and feels like in Romania.
Enjoy the local food
Depending on the season of your rural break in Romania, you can try and enjoy different types of Romanian food and local food from Bran area. And the drinks. We will take you to the best places where you can have some smoked ham, cheese, sarmale, sausages with polenta and plum brandy. Make sure you are not on a diet when you visit Romania as everything is so tasty!
